Digital Imaging: We use state-of-the-art computer software to create smile previews and help patients determine which therapies are right for their smiles.
Digital Radiography: Our team cares about your safety, so we'll use a digital X-ray machine to take pictures of your smile. Digital X-rays emit 80% less radiation than traditional radiography, and provide images immediately for viewing on chairside monitors. Digital X-ray images can be electronically transmitted to insurance companies and specialists, as well.
Intraoral Cameras: At your checkup, Dr. Schwam or his assistant will use a tiny, handheld camera to take pictures inside your mouth. These images will become visual aids as the dentist explains your situation and partners with you to plan treatment.
Laser Dentistry: Dr. Schwam has advanced training in the field of laser dentistry. He uses a soft-tissue laser to recontour gum tissue, perform crown lengthening, and treat severe cases of gum disease. With laser dentistry, bleeding and swelling are minimal, there's no need for stitches. This makes procedure and recovery times faster than they would be with traditional gum surgery.
Chairside Computers: Each of our comfortable treatment chairs is equipped with a chairside computer to display intraoral photos, digital X-rays, and other educational materials.
Patient Comforts: During your visit, please make use of our DVD players, comfortable blankets, foot warmers, and complimentary food bar.
